CAESSR - George, 8 year old Blind Blue Roan Show type

George is about 8 years old and is a Blue Roan show type Cocker. He is a fantastic dog - good with children, other dogs and cats. Sadly, last November, George had to have both eyes removed, due to dislocated lens. His owners are both working full time and they feel that they cannot give him the attention he deserves. He has adapted well around the house and garden so given the right encouragement he could work it out again. George requires a home where there is someone around most of the time to pat him and stroke him. He loves people. George loves his walks on an extending lead and loves travelling in the car.

Poor George  :luv: i hope he can be rehomed really soon so he can settle into a new family & start his new life  :luv:
I wish our circumstances/finances were different and we were able to adopt a rescue to come and live with us.

It breaks my heart as I have Ruby who now about 10 and has been through similar but manages to live life to the full offlead mostly as well

Have to say,seeing this poor little dog has made me cry. Having rehomed a cocker myself I remember how scared he was when he first came to live with us. A year and half later he's like a different dog now but so obviously still insecure. Poor George must be so frightened being in unfamiliar surroundings  :'(

me too  :'( it must be even harder for him because he has no sight  :'(
its esp. 'close to home' atm with Nina starting to lose her sight & i pray i will always be here for her  :embarassed: :luv:
