Just had news from the very nice duty vet.
it appears that Milly is picking up
She is still on the IV, but has not vomited since 1am.
They're giving her Ab's & a gut medication.
The vet has looked at her xrays and is happy that although distended and gassy, there are no foreign bodies in there (thank goodness !!!!
). so no op required! (Phew!)
They are going to give her a tiny test feed in about an hour, and the result of that will determine whether or not she can come off the drip.
I should hear back around 5 ish, so she could be home tonight!! YAY
They're saying gastroenteritis (sp) Viral/bacterial, apparently she has had several cases recently....dealing with another now as it happens.
Meanwhile its a little hive of activity in our house, I'm keeping busy by steam cleaning the lounge carpet (& keeping an eye on here)whilst my girlies are tidying up!
Have told them that from now on all our bedrooms, laundry room etc have to be kept spotlessly tidy, cos i don't want any repercussions thanks!
