It all sounds very encouraging and he is trying to help himself.

The swollen penis sounds like a bit of an infection probably due to the catheter. Ask them about cleaning the area with sterile water to keep bugs from penetrating the urethra.

I know pregnancy wise you are at your biggest and most tired but hopefully you still have enough time to allow Dennis significant improvement before baby comes.

Just another little update , ive not had much chance to get on here much as im really busy with Dennis and trying to sort everything for the new baby due in 2 weeks time !!

Dennis is starting to feel better in himself and hes letting us know about it , hes on crate rest so hes only allowed out to do his physio and his toilet breaks so now that hes feeling beter in himself he spends most of his time shouting at me or howling  ::)

There is some improvement in his back legs , hes starting to stand much better but still cant really walk , i think its more about building his muscle back up so he has more strength because im noticing the movement is coming back , as in he dosnt just drag his back end anymore he actually moves it like he would to walk normally , hes just not quite on his pads of his feet.

He still isnt realiably weeing on his own and we have to express is bladder , but it has happened once or twice on its own , he does have a wee infection so i dont know weather thats holding things up a little.

Overall hes making good progress and fingers crossed it wont be long before hes walking again.

Sounding positive. Long may the improvements keep coming.
He is honestly practicing the shouting to walk you up for the baby when they arrive ;)

Poor wee man - what a thing to go through.  Glad he's showing signs of improvement, it will take a long time I'm sure to get him 100 percent.  Thinking of you both :bigarmhug:

The shouting and howling is a good sign  :lol2:

Well done to both of you.  It sounds as tho Dennis is coming along just great.  I know how much hard work it is and I wasnt pregnant when we were looking after Charlie.  Good luck with the baby and look after yourself as well.
