Injured Leg - is vet needed?
« on: December 21, 2012, 08:41:37 PM »
Hi had a lovely walk today along the beach dunes. Were out for couple of hours and both dogs had a whale of time running, jumping and exploring.

We were just about back when I looked up and saw one of the girls holding her front right leg off the ground. She then proceeded limping all the way back to the car not really putting any weight on the leg. This has continued since our return and she has clearly hurt herself running about.
Her paw is fine it does seem to be her leg, can't see any swelling but if I gently touch the back of her lower leg she pulls it away from me and as I said she is not weight bearing on it.

Any ideas pls and does she need to see a vet or should I just rest her? Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks
