Ill dogs
« on: July 01, 2006, 03:17:59 PM »
Aspen has had  blood in his poo since yesterday which I just assumed was down to the Rimadyl tablets he has been put on for his elbow. I've just had the boys out for a pee and Dallas has passed quite a bit of diarrhoea which contained an awful lot of blood in it. His poo was a bit loose this morning but before that all was normal. He is also very sluggish today but it is very hot so it could just be the heat :-\ I've just given Dallas some Diarsanyl to help with the runny bum - he has had gastroenteritis before and his poo then was pretty much all blood, just like today. I'm going to phone the vet to ask advice as I don't particularly want them all coming down with a nasty bug

Me too.  Hope it's nothing serious. It doesn't sound like something you want the others to catch.

Oh Dog, that sounds scary - I would have been reduced to a panicking mess...
I hope they pick up soon and it does not spread to the others...

How are they doing now? It has been very very hot today, it could have something to do with it.

Poor Dallas' bum is exploding ph34r It is just like soup  :P but the last lot didn't have any blood in it thankfully. He is also a bit better in himself now that its cooler. Hopefully a few days of scrambled egg and pasta will sort him out.

I think Aspen's is more related to his medication as he is fine in every other way and apart from the blood, his poos are fine
