So sorry to hear about Tilly. :'( Hopefully she will be fine. ;) My Golden Retriever Molly was bitten on her face by an adder  :o it was very badly swollen but she recovered well after 24 hours on a drip at the vets, with lots of cold compresses for the swelling.

Wow, what a shock but so lucky that you actually saw it happen.

Here's hoping Tilly makes a full recovery.

Oh Tilly big hugs and lots of prayers for you babes! My SIL's weimeramer was bitten by one about 8 years ago whilst on the south coast so I know how worrying it can be! I'd kicked an adder with bare toed shoes on the day before the dog was bit so even though they didn't see it happen they figured it out! He was fine after a short stay at the vets and I really hope poor Tilly is the same!

OMG.  :o

Thank goodness you saw it happen and were able to act so fast.

She is a great, strong little thing, and after seeing what others have said of their experience with adder bites it sounds as though she will be ok. But we are thinking of her (and you, of course) and wishing you all well.

Do let us know as soon as you hear anythng.

Oh, Penel - poor, por Tilly :(

Loads of healing thought - I have to confess that this is one of my biggest fears, given the places we walk  ph34r At this time of year, I thought it was too early for them .......obviously not, the weather must have got them all confused

I hope you manage to get some rest tonight - and that Tilly recovers fully

Just this minute had a call from the vet - she said the swelling has gone down a bit, and Tilly is much brighter - she just dragged her outside to go for a wee  :luv:  I am sooo relieved.  My friend that works there, is the assigned vet nurse to check on the dogs in the night, so she is gonna keep me updated all night...  I have such a headache  :'( but I am a bit happier now my Tils is a bit better  :luv:

That's good news. Try to settle and sleep well tonight, I think you will need to be there for lots of cuddles when she comes home.

What an awful end to a lovely walk.
