Poorly Harlem
« on: April 26, 2008, 10:29:33 PM »
Its Harlems 1st birthday today and the little guy is poorly with dreadful vomiting and diarrhoea (he's not long recovered from a bad bout of kennel cough too!). The diarrhoea is projectile and is literally just like water.....and smells foul  ph34r. He is extremely lethargic, showing no interest in food at all and I haven't seen him drink (obv with the 6 of them its difficult to know for sure)  - he does have a slight skin tent so I'm syringing water into him little and often. He looks so sorry for himself and so un-Harlem like. He's the family joker, always goofing around, but hes just not interested in whats going on around him. They have only been road walked the past couple of days and I'm fairly sure he hasn't eaten anything or drank out of any puddles. I did catch him eating from the rabbits litter tray last night but I don't think he got much and its certainly not the first time hes done it

I'm going to give him some diarsanyl paste and some lectade tonight and fingers crossed he picks up soon. If not, he'll be going to the vets first thing tomorrow

Ahh no poor Harlem.  :'( And on his birthday too.  :'(

Alfie was vomiting all day one day this week, I wonder if there is a bug doing the rounds.

I hope he picks up after the meds, poor lad.  :luv:

Happy Birthday Harlem, your mummy can spoil you with treats when your belly feels better.  :luv: :luv:

Poor Harlem, not a very happy birthday for him  :-\

I hope the paste and lectade does the trick, it's horrible seeing them down and lethargic when they're ill and I hope he's perked up a bit by tomorrow :luv: :luv:

He's a lot brighter today so he is on a bland diet and diarsanyl for a few days. He had chicken & rice this morning and kept it  down so looks like hes on the mend  :D
