Willows steroids reduce from today!!

Well its from today that we have to reduce Willows steroids dose to alternate days only so today will be her first day without them!! Have to say Im a bit worried as the specialist said this can be when dogs relapse but I hope this wont be the case for Willow. I know its a step in the right direction her been weaned off them as it indicates she is making good progress to date but I cant help but worry.  :-\

Please keep everything crossed for Willow and send positives vibes our way  ;) Thank you  :D

Hi , my chloe has to have steriods all the time, she cant live without them because of her allergys and skin condition (she is an american cocker), although i hate to use them it is making life normal to her and shes happy, when expressing to the vets i was concerned about useing the steroids all the time the vet suggested as things were going well & under control to half the dosage, she is managing really well on half the dose and none of her problems have got any worse shes been on half dose now for at least a year, so dont worry your vet should keep an eye on willow, perhaps ask for half of the dosage rather than every other day!!! k.

Well I was expecting her to be sleepy today the first day without the steroids and we had quite a busy day yesterday too. Since being poorly following a busy day she usually crashes out the following day, however today she had been quite the opposite. Full of beans when we took her on a canal walk tonight we got home and she then played like a loony for a further hour before crashing out.  :005: :005:

Thank you for all your well wishes I know its early days yet to tell if she will suffer any relapse after cutting down on the steroids but I will keep you all posted. So far so good.  ;)  :banana:
