worming and fleeing
« on: April 10, 2007, 06:52:49 PM »
Can someone tell me if you can buy a wormer and flee control that you can give at the same time, I have been doing it seperatley, and counting months in between etc.  just wondered if there was an all-in-one that some one could recommend.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place ph34r

Advocate & Stronghold will cover for roundworms only - there are no spot-ons that include treatment for tapeworm

Ive been using Bob Martin tablets for roundworm and tapeworm then spot on for flee's (well to prevent them, he's never had them)

It takes 15 days treatment cycle for worming, just thought i could get an all in one

Sorry, do you mean you want a spot-on product that covers fleas AND worms combined (which would be the veterinary prescribed Advocate & Stronghold as mentioned above) or a flea product and a worming product that you can give together? You would be better off using a multiwormer such as Drontal or Milbemax over the Bob Martin stuff - it will be one or two tablets required as a single dose and is recommended to repeat every 3 months.

I've just remembered there is a product called Program Plus (available from your vet) that covers fleas and worms. It comes in tablet form and has to be administered monthly

You can get an all in one wormer (round and tape), I use drontal on my dog and my cats. You only give one dose too.

I also use spot on on them all.

Not sure if that's what you mean
