Change in skin pigmentation
« on: September 20, 2007, 04:07:57 PM »
I thought I was imagining it at first but since we got Woofie scalped trimmed a couple of weeks ago I am sure his belly is changing in colour.  It is going a darker shade - brownish I would say.  Now I don't know if I am noticing it because he has got a lot less hair but I am sure it is getting a lot darker than it was.

He is not scratching it and there are no other signs that there is anything wrong.

Do I need to worry?

Thanks

Not to worry, it's normal. As they get older my dogs tummies get a black speckled look. Not sure why it happens but they lose the puppy- pink as they get older. :'(

Thank you so much  :D

My OH thinks I am crazy!  I have been trying to think of other reasons to get Woofie to the vets so I could get it checked out.

I wish I had asked earlier.
