Help - Are black peppercorns poisonous to dogs
« on: July 04, 2008, 10:13:50 PM »
Just spilt a pot of black peppercorns on kitchen floor.  Before I could clear it up Jake has eaten some - not sure how many.  Does anyone know if they are poisonous to dogs.  If so what should I do.

Have never seen Peppercorns on any list of things poisonous to dogs - it may give him a bit of an upset tummy though, as it will be more spice than he is used to!!

Think it can irritate the urinary tract but would have to eat a load.

Thanks for the replies.  Jake seems perfectly normal this morning.  Will have to wait and see if his tum is upset tho.  He is such a greedy boy he will eat anything that is dropped on the floor.
