little grace- updated
« on: September 16, 2008, 07:41:19 PM »
hi everyone  :D :luv:
grace has been fine all day.
and about 5 pm tonight, she was trying to wee, but not weeing, spinning in circels ( which was awful to see), and really squealing, bless her heart.
phoned my vets who told me to take her straight away, they checked her all over, and have just admitted her in to the vets tonight.
they said it could be a urine tract infection, at this age, everything is so close,so it could be something to do with her bladder or something to do with her lady bits, they did say a name begining with v, but can't remember what the vet said,  they tryed to stick a needle through her tummy to her bladder but there was not enough urine, they can't give her anti biotics until they find out why she won't wee, ect, and why she is in pain, but they have given her painkillers for now and admitted her there an then, and will phone me as soon as they have an idea on what it could be, that is stopping grace from weeing.but she is in a lot of pain, temp is up a small bit but vet said boarder line.
my little girl is only 18 weeks old, and i feel awful leaving her there, but i know i did'nt have a choice.
can you spare a few mins just to send some healing thoughts her way.
i feel a nervous wreck .and just want my baby home with me.
love terri

OMG Terri

I am so sorry to hear that little Grace is poorly. I wish I was closer to you so I could give you a big hug.
Poor Grace she must be feeling rather confused but you know that being at the vets is the best place for her. I hope they find out what is wrong with her very soon so they can start making her well again.
You really have been through the mill with your dogs' health this year.
I'm sending all the healing thoughts that I have to Grace.
I know it's easier said than done honey, but you try and relax. Give all the others big cuddles on the sofa and I am sure that Grace will soon be back with you and the brood.
Take Care

Oh Terri, I'm so sorry to hear that beautiful Grace is poorly. I hope she gets sorted out soon and back home where she belongs.

Mali had a bout of cystitis (sp) a few months ago (probably the result of diving into so many swamps) but it cleared up quite quickly with the help of the tablets from the vet.

hi everyone  :D :luv:
thank you so much for all your well wishes for grace.
i've only had her a short while, and feel totally lost with out her,it was so distressing to see her crying and in pain.
even the vets said she was a poorly little girl, but a total princess.( just hope they don't fall too much in love with her, as i may not get her back).
but my vets has someone there 24 hours day and night, and have promised me she will get lots of cuddles.
so i have all fingers and paws crossed this end too, even melody is totally lost,, and she has not eaten tonight as she is missing her too.
i'm crying so much as i'm writing this, and i feel i need a run of good luck at the min.
i can't see me sleeping much tonight, but as soon as i have some news, i'll let you all know.
and thank you so much for all being here, as my shoulder to cry on.
love terri
