One on his chest which is quite big and one near his back leg (I can't find it, but the vet did), they are both lypomas sp? One on his shoulder which is the one with the peripheral blood and one in the corner of his eye which the vet said was the melanoma.

He has had the one on his eye for nearly two years! Vet wasn't worried about it.  Woofie knocked it a couple of months ago and I took him to see the Vet again but it was the locum and she wasn't worried about it!

Vet only sent a needle biopsy of it off because he was doing three other lumps and they don't charge any extra.

Managed to speak to vet at last this morning.

Confirmed that three lumps were Lypomas, one which contained blood cells.

However the fourth (near his eye) hasn't yet been diagnosed as a melanoma, it contains round cells which can possibly be related to a melanoma which is why it was advised to have it removed and sent away for further testing.  So it could still be benign  :D (Must learn to listen more carefully in future).

I have also been over Woofie with a fine tooth comb and found another lump  :'(

He is now booked in for Thursday morning to have 5 lumps removed.  OH is off Thursday and Friday and I am off Saturday and Sunday so we will be able to look after the big guy.  Hope he doesn't have to wear a lamp shade but with so many different sites it might be for the best do you think?  Will try with the T-shirt first.

Please think of Woofalump on Thursday - I believe that positive thoughts from COL'ers help tremendously  :-*

Lisa, really sorry to hear Woofie has to go through this, we will be thinking of him on Thurs - hopefully you don't need to worry about lampshade, I am sure he will be good.
