Ruby's other eye has gone
« on: March 30, 2009, 01:05:49 PM »
Between breakfast and now Ruby's eye has 'blown' - am dashing off to Leominster in an hour but we don't hold out much hope as my poor baby girl may have to have her other eye removed.

I know I keep getting told she'll be fine blind but Ruby is a dog who loves life and enjoys dashing around forests and throwing herself off things and being a mad hoolie I desperately love so her quality of as it is now will be gone if this happens as she won't be able to do this and my own vet doesn't hold out much hope.

At a time when things are bad for me why do they have to get worse - am sitting here crying as I  am so fed up with everything going wrong.

Thinking of you and Ruby here too Penny.   So sorry to hear this latest problem. :'( :'(  I am sure she will adapt if need be - probably better than you tbh   :-\  but I can completely understand you are devastated that she might lose her other eye.  :'(  Hope they can do something.

Sending positive thoughts from here for both of you  :-* :-*

Really sorry to hear about Ruby :'( - will keep our fingers crossed that her eye is ok.  When things get bad, there's only one way they can go eventually and thats to get better (might not seem like it at the moment), just have to weather the storm(s) - just make sure that you take good care of yourself.

Really sorry to hear your bad news with Ruby.  I hope she recovers quickly.  We have a blind dog from birth, it's not all bad, he has a great quality of life, this is not just me being cocky, other people have told us, total strangers when they see him running around constantly.  Take care.
