back from our new vets

As Nic and Michele know, Jarv has been pretty ill for a couple of days...and after perking up yesterday this was how he spent most of today  :'( :'(  He's a sly one, he has enough adrenaline to show enthusiasm for his walk... but then came back and was like this for hours, only getting up to munch on some grass....



so we had a reason to go to our new vet practice....and Jarv likes them too  :lol2: (even gave the vet a little kiss for sticking the thermometer where the sun don't shine....)

Upshot is he has a severely inflamed tummy with perhaps a minimal infection - very small chance of it being pancreas related so we're watching him like a hawk  :'( - so after explaining everything she was doing and a full MOT (strong heart/lungs, weight/body condition perfect, no visible pain in limbs or spine/neck,  tuft absolutely gorgeous  :lol2: , pink/moist gums, eyes clear, ears fine) he had an anti-emetic injection and he's on chicken/rice for the weekend and some zantac. 

...and the vet nurse gave him a snog too  :luv:

(I can't tell you how happy I am to have found these vets - so lucky to find a small private practice (2 vets) with such fabulous reputations...)

That must be reassuring for you Helen. Only just got back from York, so catching up, really sorry to hear Jarv has been poorly, hope he's on the mend now  :luv:

My poor wee man, I've been worrying about him for the last couple of days and nearly broke my heart when I saw that photo earlier :'( :'(

I've already told you how glad I am that the new vet is so lovely, she sounds fab and all fingers and paws are crossed here that His Jarvness is now on the mend :luv: :luv:

yes it is reassuring - I conjure up terrible scenario's in my head when he's ill, and it's really nice to know that we have a vet that listens to us and explains everything and is very broad minded about diet etc as well....

I think looking at that pic now, that he's definitely showing me that he has a sorely poorly tummy  :shades:

Sorry he's not well Helen but I'm glad to hear you found a good vet ;)  I agree it really does make a difference when they listen to you. I'm sure he will soon be back to normal  :luv:

Poor Jarv.

Sorry to hear he is not well. He does look poorly and so sorry for himself.

Hope the meds kick in and he is soon back to his gorgeous self.  Big Hug for you and a huge  :-* for your special man.

Glad you have found a great vet.

Sorry to hear Jarvis is feeling ruff, hope he perks up soon. xx

It's so nice when you get caring vets isn't it.  I changed practice when I moved and my new ones are so nice, it makes such a difference.
