Positive thoughts for Coco please - Yayy, she is home!
« on: February 11, 2010, 01:34:37 PM »
My little Cocobean is at the vets.  :-\

Not quite sure what the problem is but I have a suspicion that she may have swallowed the eye from one of her cuddlies - can't think what else it could be.  She started throwing up late yesterday which was about 24 hours after I notice an eye missing from a new cuddly I had bought her - stupid thing is, I was intending to take the eyes off it when I got home.  >:(  She is usually pretty good and doesn't tend to swallow objects unless they are food.  ::) There seems to have been a spate of foreign objects on here this week and this seems a bit of a coincidence.

By last night she was even throwing up water and so I took her to the vet last night at about 9.30.  She was so quiet and subdued and not interested in food which for anyone who knows Coco, is totally out of character. No real change today so I took her back in and they have decided to admit her, put her on a drip, do some bloods and try a conscious x-ray later.  Normally I would say there was no chance they would be able to do that but she is so miserable and sorry for herself that hopefully they will be able to.  :-\  As the possible object is plastic though, they may not be able to see it anyway.

At the moment they are planning to keep her in overnight  :'(  Will hopefully hear later on this afternoon - they have said to ring if I haven't heard anything by 5pm.

Please keep your fingers crossed for her that it is something straightforward and she is on the mend soon.  :luv:  Will be trying to keep busy to take my mind off it.
