Worming charts
« on: August 19, 2012, 01:19:25 PM »
Hi

My pup has just broke the 10kg parameter and when I clicked on to various websites yesterday to order new tablets for worming and Frontlining the charts recommend "Drontal"1.1/2 tablets every three months for my six month old 11kg pup.
This differs from the vets advice of half tablet per month, or is it the equivalent. My thoughts are that a pup given 1.1/2 tablet would be way up the graph and gradually reducing to nothing by the third month apposed to a constant level of protection.

I would appreciate your take on:

1) Is it enough cover to protect my pup with 1/2 tablet per month?

2) Is 1.1/2 tablets once every three months the same?

Many thanks, Mel.

Riley is about the same weight Mel and as you know same age.
Last month he had the 1 drontal tablet for 10kg plus
Then he had another last week.

Thats him now for three months, the vet told me to worm once a month till 6 months then every three months.

Same here, our vet has said every month up to and including six months and then every three months.

Mum also to Basil - Black show type DOB 31/03/2000 and Eddie - Brown and white sable Papillon DOB 01/01/2011

Changing the subject completely, could you possibly assist with pitapata.
I've filled everything in on the pitapata menu but you'll see from my post the HTTP//1072 is at the foot but no picture or inscription.
If I click on the HTTP//1072 line the full marker appears, but it's on another page!

Many thanks, Mel.
