Title: Warning on Frontline flea control
Post by: janew123 on March 30, 2015, 03:27:48 PM
To anyone that is thinking of using Frontline, this is worth a read.

8 months ago my dog collapsed, he totally lost the use of his legs, it was almost as if he was drunk. It had never happened to him before, but at 15 yrs old I put it down to age. Weeks went by and nothing happened... then one month later he did it again - exactly the same as before. I took him to the vets, who advised it could be the result of a whole host of conditions, but to keep a log.  It was then that it became glaringly obvious it was connected with the Frontline flea drops i had purchased from the vets several months earlier. He was collapsing the day after i had adminstered them - every time!! . Since  have stopped using them he has never done it since!.  So buyers beware!

wow, that's worrying.
Beau has Frontline regularly but no ill effects observed, hope your dog is ok

That's terrible, we stopped using frontline on Albert as it seemed to make him a bit under the weather, just quiet and sleepy, nothing like you describe. We used stronghold last time and that seemed ok
