Hope so too, as vet worried it may be the start of something. While I am told to keep looking at her gums for pinprick dots but in Wilf my vet did this but hadn't realised his was shown on his belly as bruising so best to look at both

In herself she's very well but the worry is what is the underlying factor we've discovered - if platelets still not right will ask for imaging to be done

Hoping the platelets turn out to be ok  :bigarmhug: and there is nothing underlying.
Glad she is well in herself that's got to be encouraging

hoping am wasting a good worry here but Lady slipped jumping on the sofa on Sunday and was limping but was fine after a few days rest plus I was getting her bloods done at vets anyway a few days later. We ended up having X-rays done as something not right and to my vet it looks like her hip on one side is crumbling so we've sent X-rays off to the orthopaedic vet in Swansea + she told me later that the bloods looked watery too.

Praying the 2 aren't linked in some way and that its nothing nasty lurking

What a worry they are - as always Lady is Lady and as stoic as Ruby always was (even the other day when she was running around on 3 legs it was as if she was on 4 (even though we haven't seen anything before + my groomer was here on Friday and didn't notice anything re her hip either and she was with me in the house grooming her and Lady was on table for a fair while)

Mind you as soon as she came out of sedation her 1st thoughts were for her stomach as the vet there gives her treats for being on the table LOL so they fed her while she was there

Tomorrow we get the blood test results and Steve B will review the x-rays quickly - vet nurse friend sent me a copy of x ray and it actually looks like its dislocated and broken at one point

bloods back and weird picture so fingers crossed her hip is simple and not connected as her platelets are rising in the right direction but her red blood cells are down now, which isn't good at all

Better news re Lady - the orthopod suggests its osteoarthritis with underlying dysplasia with dystrophic calcification and also possibly secondary to an injury in the past or other disease process so I guess the fall didn't help the other sunday - if she was ever in pain in the time I've had her you would never know with Lady. He thinks cancer is very unlikely but can't rule it out (but that isn't considered enough to be an issue).
Treatment is 4-6 weeks rest and anti-inflammatories in the hope this is a severe sprain, and if needed physio after that (but considering having physio sooner anyway plus a good way to monitor her) He did say he doesn't rule out full hip replacement if its needed or other surgery. So we're just going to go with the flow with the treatment.

Not sure what's happening re her bloods but that will be monitored

Still not there but looking more hopeful than it was last week
