Dish at Many Tears
« on: August 17, 2015, 09:26:45 PM »

 :luv: :luv: :luv:

12-8-15 Dish is a 3 year old ex-breeding cocker.  She is called Dish because she is just delicious!! Dish is very pretty and absolutely loves other dogs.  She is quite nervous initially and would benefit immensly from a friendly dog or dogs in her new home so that is what we are looking for. Dish's new friend will help her with house training and to become used to the normal household routines. Dish does get tense when you handle her but she's made no negative responses and just puts up with it quietly.  She would be better in a home where any children are older and understand she needs a little time to adjust and get used to then.  She doesn't walk on a lead at the moment but we will try and earn her trust to get her started. Delicious Dish isn't going to hang around here too long with that beautiful face and wonderful gentle personality, please read our ex-breeding information prior to applying.
PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

16/09/15.....Dish has been with us now for just two weeks and is slowly coming out of her shell. She is still extremely nervous around people but loves the company of our two dogs and likes to folow them when she can. Our photos of her show her lying down with them in our lounge an this is something which over the last few days she has started to do although she doesnt stop long as she soon runs out of confidence and goes back out of the room to where she feels safe.
.....Dish (we call her Dusty) is doing well with her house training, rarely has an accident inside and is dry overnight and sleeps quietly downstairs with our dogs. We have not yet got Dish to wear a harness or go for a walk on lead as we are still working to gain her trust.
.....What Dish realy needs is a quiet, loving and patient home where she can be given the time and space  to really settle down and for the young sweet girl she really is come through - she may take  a while but she will be well worth the effort and will you repay you a milliom times over x
