Title: Whining, window watching, barking
Post by: fudgesmammy on July 01, 2004, 12:06:21 PM
Fudge has recently become very whiny. When we're all in the lounge she gets really agitated and stands up on a chair at the front window and whines and barks and cries and make grumpy dog noises. She's never been like this before and is usually very relaxed in her home. She seems so nervous of all sorts of little noises at the moment.
She's not in heat (spayed), she's not poorly, nothing's changed in her life- any ideas what we can do to make her stop??
She's turned into a worse curtain twitcher the the woman across the street!!

Could it possibly be tied into your post delivery?

Rigsby can tell at least 5 minutes before delivery that its on its way - he sits on the back of the sofa/window sill/on the mat facing the letter box - whimpering with anticpation!  We swear he can hear the wheels on the postmans trolley when he's at the bottom of our road!

She does it mainly in the late evening- between 6pm and it getting dark. Could be something to do with all the neighbours coming home??!!??
Our post comes fairly late- but usually before 6pm!!

Why not move the chair if you can as it stops them being able to look out of the window
