101 Dog Tricks?
« on: August 25, 2008, 04:35:41 PM »
Sorry mods, I wasn't sure where to put this one.

Has anyone read the "101 Dog Tricks by Kyra Sundance?". I've been given it, and it looks like a wonderful easy to read and apply book. Loads of tricks/tasks and an easy how-to guide as well.

I've had a quick look though and Marlee knows a few good tricks listed. I'm looking forward teaching him some new ones I'd not have thought off.

Mark, have you read it at all? I recognise some of the tricks done by the Top Barks boys :D

Love it!!!
I have a dog who when she is in season and can't go trooping off over the downs if we do some brain work with her she settles beautifully, so we did, down, over, sit, wait, here, three cups.......and then ran out of ideas, so I bought this book and she can do, salute, walking on hind legs, bowing and I have started the hiding her face one. Its great fun! some of them are a little bit un-natural for dogs but!

No more so than most of what we ask them to do; it's just that we have normalised some unnatural dog behaviours and not others  ;)
