Title: Straining!
Post by: Woody's Mum on November 12, 2004, 04:00:43 PM
I'm so sorry - another poo topic from Toni!!     :D

Ok, not sure how to put this nicely - sometimes Daisy doesn't poop as easily as I'd like her too and takes a while and strains a bit, hmmm!!

She now has Burns three times a day with some Naturediet mixed in. She is also now eating her food with pleasure (she was V fussy before)

Is there anything I can put in her food, such as bran, to loosen things up for her?

Or raw vegetables  :)

Yeah, I would say bran or vegetables should do the trick  ;)

Grated carrot works well for Molo; to be very basic and descriptive, it comes out looking very similar to the way in goes in!

I though that bran/fibre based stuff only firmed things up so to speak ???

Having said that, I find that plain old stuff like scrambled egg (again, supposed to bind!) or chicken and rice (making sure the rice is really well-cooked and either fresh or really well re-heated to avoid salmonella)  , or anything with plenty of moisture really - sometimes complete foods are brilliant in theory, but if not enough water is being drunk then they can stodge things up a bit.
