Hi,
When I took our new rescue Jack to the Vet for a check, and mentioned a watery eye, the vet said that the tiny wart on his eyelid (resting on his eye) is causing the problem, and so he's booked in on Wednesday. :( She said that they are much more difficult to remove when it gets bigger (and loads more uncomfortable I would have thought!! )
I hope he'll be OK with the general anaesthetic. They are going to x-ray his hip too as he stands slightly oddly and isn't good with stairs. He's great at walking and running - might have lived in a bungalow!! :P

I hope that Jack is fine after his op. - I hope his gait is okay too after you have had X-Rays done ...
I was just wondering where you had 'rescued' him from - at the Blue Cross all our dogs are health checked before they are re-homed, and any problems are already dealt with, or are clearly explained to new owners .... Vet's fees are what they are, and it sounds as though you may have taken on quite a lot of problems!! Hope he turns out to be okay !

Hi,
Thanks for your good wishes!
Jack was very wobbly and grumpy after the anaesthetic, but has recovered his good humour now.
They can't find anything wrong with his hip, but he still stands awkwardly. When he walks or runs, all fine. I got him from Many Tears who said that their vet thought he might have been dropped as a pup. :(
Our other rescue Tia had much worse problems when we took her on, so he's not so bad.
Cheers,
