Very weird shaped small red lump under dog's chin.
« on: August 17, 2017, 12:07:09 AM »
We've found a small red, very raised, almost tubular lump tonight, under our dog's chin.
At first we thought it was a tic but it's not.
I can only describe it as looking like a skin tag that's very red and swollen.
Has anyone any ideas what it might be?

I can't figure out how to attach a photo.

It might be a histiocytoma. Bramble had one. They are harmless and usually disappear on their own. Might be worth a vet check though to make sure.

Thanks for your advice.
Unfortunately both my dogs had hystiocytomas when they were puppies. This is a different shape altogether, more a protusion than a lump.
(Like a swollen skin tag).
I think it will be a visit to the vets today.
