Billy No Mates...any dogs with adverse effects?
« on: August 24, 2017, 05:39:28 PM »
Hi just wondered if anyone had experienced side effects of Billy No Mates? I started my two on it and within 3 weeks Blue had very loose stools. Wondered if it could be the Neem in BNM and has anyone else had this problem?

I tried Pearl on BNM and became uncomfortable that I wasn't in control of quantities - medicated flea treatments are generally a derivative of neem but it's closely controlled amounts that you apply.  The BNM mix contains a number of herbs all of which seem harmless but must do something if it's used to repel insects and parasite  :-\

Others on here will give alternative views but if it's the only change you've made it may be worth stopping for a few days to see if it makes a difference

I've stopped BNM now...but it takes.4 weeks to get into their system so I'm guessing it will take a few days to come out. I've looked online for any side effects but can find nothing at all. I won't give Blue it again...I use a Homeopathic Flea/Tick Spray and put Rose Geranium on their collars so I'll just stick with them. I guess you are right..all.these herbs must do something amd Blue has a delicate stomach to.say the least. I'm going to phone BNM in the morning and see what they say. If it doesn't settle on a bland.diet for.a couple of days its Vet with a sample 😊

I've used it for years with no problems at all - and Archie has a very sensitive tum too. I grew with Pearly that stopping it to see if it makes a difference is a good idea though. I hope that's all it is and Blue's tum settles soon.
