24-08-17 Joey is a 6 yr old ex stud Cocker Spaniel. He has never been beyond his breeders so hasnt had the opportunity to enjoy walks and have hjs own soft bed yet but all this can change for him now. Joey is alert and watches us quietly, inquisitive as to what we are doing. He is nervous of his change of environment and naturally unsure of us as we are strangers to him. We can see that if he is given time and love he will soon settle and enjoy being around us. He would like a dog in his new home to copy housetraining from and help him understand how life is good. He needs a little patience and some time to adjust but when he does you will be so proud of him.
13-09-17 UPDATE

Our beautiful boy Joey is a reserved soul who is slowly but surely getting used to life in the kennels, he's becoming more sure of himself and us by the day.
Much happier with dogs than people he'll follow his kennel mates around, run with them in the yard and happily walk alongside them.
Still not so sure about people, he'll wag his tail cheerfully at you from afar but as you approach him it'll slowly still as he waits to see what you'll do.
He'll allow you to stroke him and pick him up without complaint but he's not quite ready to enjoy the attention yet.
He's unsure of leads but will allow you to put one on him or slip a harness over his head without complaint. On his own he'll walk slowly on a lead, on his own terms but does not like to be pulled in any direction. With another dog alongside him he's a different dog and will trot along far more happily.
A beautiful boy with lovely cocker gold colouring and soft gentle face, Joey has a lovely appearance that matches his reserved natured. He will be a great addition to a home so long as it has other dogs to help him feel comfortable and owners with plenty of time and patience to draw him out and teach him to trust them.
