Working cocker pedigree
« on: November 20, 2006, 12:38:14 PM »
I got Tilly's KC registration certificate from the rescue when I got her. Unfortunately there isn't a full pedigree but it has her name and the names of her parents so thought I'd put them on here to see if anyone has heard of the names...

Tilly is Miss Lucky Charm (no kennel name  ::))

Sire is Braken Boys Brown Sugar

Dam is Cragglands Mystery

Would the KC send me her full 5 gen pedigree if I write and ask for it?

She's a mystery girl

Hmmm... I haven't got contact details for her previous owners so have no idea where they got her from. It could literally be anywhere. It doesn't really matter as she's such a superb little dog but I'm just curious.

I will see if I can get a more detailed pedigree for her.

Kirsten (workingcockers) may have the info on her database but you can also order a 5 gen certificate from the KC as long as you've got her KC number.

you can order a 5 gen pedigree direct from the KC's site . I know the dam is very well bred despite her daughter not having a having a kennel name ...I am amazed that a rescue has given over the registration documents though

if a dog is neutered then the rescue has no real concerns about the papers, I have papers for both my working cockers and they are both rescues - great as it means I don't have to register them for agility

Freya and Cockers Bilbo and Dobbie, not forgetting the Springers Willow and Paddy

Yes, that's exactly it Freya. I didn't see your post earlier Kirsten. Tilly is neutered and her owners were happy for her paperwork to be passed on to her new owner so that I can see her family history.

It's nice that her mum is well bred though  :D

if you can't find anything and can give dob I don't mind doing a little searching for you, have most of the kc breed sups

Other option is just giving the kennel club a call all you have to do is provide the name of your dog with her dam and sire with breed and they can do a search for you I do that quite often if I am stuck with a particular dogs details.
