Two dogs eating different food
« on: July 05, 2007, 01:05:11 PM »
I have a problem two dogs on different food. I tried to put Whistler on Burns what Jake was eatinh and he has a really bad stomach so hes on Eukanuba. Tries Jake on Eukanuba he got upset stomach so currently two pups on two foods, if they share food both get upset, don't laugh its wall to wall c--p here in the office. What is the best food JWB and just take it slow... or leave them both til they are 6 months? Or will Collies and Cockers eat different for different needs?

We have four dogs and three different foods!  :o

Our dogs know however that they are not allowed to go into the other's food bowl, so it is not a problem. Vera

Several of ours eat different foods & I don't find it a problem really. If necessary, just separate your pups when they're eating eg put one in a crate or in different rooms to eat.

Have you tried the Burns for sensitive tummies?

Im at witts end Jake is fine now but Whistler is still really runny he is on rice and chicken but its not working. Trouble is I am strapped from ankle to thigh and due back in hospital tomorrow so i cant take him to the vet. I am not sure if I will be in plaster for 6 weeks yet until tomorrow. Hes full of life, only going about twice a day after meals but its so runny..

Its got to be vets after hospital I'll get my Dad to help (he's 76!) but OH is too busy what with me immobile and all the chores and shopping etc. We will not mention he is off to scout camp for a week so we'll all starve me and dogs.

Some dogs can't handle chicken, might be worth just feeding him rice and egg for a while and see what happens... That's how I found out that my dog was vegetarian...
