Hope its okay to post this here.
Marlee had puppy class today and he's now mastered two things today.
1. We work in a sports hall, and you know the big circle in the middle of a basketball court in sports halls? I told him down on one edge of it and to "wait" and, for the first time let me get right round and come back to him, then he didn't move until I told him "okay" - I was very proud of him for letting me go that distance. I've really only been walking in a circle round him.
2. He can now do "touch". It didn't take him that long either. Only about 10mins in the class and 5mins at home this afternoon. For those that don't know, you stand in front of your dog, and (once they're trained and and know what they are supposed to do) you extend your arm and hand out to your side and then when you say "touch" they touch it with their nose, then wait for a reward.
Haha, so, yeah. I don't mean to brag - well, yes I really do
- but I'm a proud mummy today!
AND to top that off, on the walk home he was a pleasure to walk. Hardly any pulling at all. It was like walking a different dog, lol. I'm sure he'll go back to his old ways when I take him out tomorrow. But he IS getting much better his heel work - slowly, lol.
EDIT: Whoops! I just realised that I posted this in the wrong place. It was ment to be in the puppies discussions. Sorry! Mods, feel free to move it.
