After a season - is this ok?
« on: March 08, 2009, 02:03:58 AM »
Gizzy's nipples are really hard, the fleshy part underneath the nipple actually about a 20p sized solid bit. It's only the 4 most south but they are irregular shaped but about, as I say about 20-10p sized lump, and they look a bit purpley but that could be just against the skin rather than bruisey. They don't seem to hurt her if you touch them.
Is this normal, Wherry's will swell but not be solid??

It's normal, every bitch who has a season has a phantom pregnancy as their body tells them they are pregnant until their "due" date which will be 9 weeks later. There are varying degrees of phantoms but all but the most severe are left untreated and her body will return to normal although nipples and back end  will always be bigger after first season than they were before, thats hormones for you. :D

Thank you - I think 'cos she's so tiny it's more noticabe than with Wherry but you're certainly right about them being bigger than before with Wherry and to a lesser degree Giz.
It's difficult to reconcile she's old enough to have a season when she seems so puppy like still; physically and emotionally immature  :D
