Leyton And His Lead
« on: August 26, 2004, 08:05:11 PM »
Over the last few days we have tried little Leyton with a lead in the garden.

Only thing is all he wants to do is chew it! Have sprayed it with magic spray but to no avail. We have started trying to click and treat and for very brief periods this works and we can walk a few paces. Am hoping that over the days this will work, but anyone got any other ideas how to get Leyton walking on a lead without chewing it? He is as daft as us so eventually i expect we will all get into line!

jasper used to do that with his lead, out of excitement,so,i took it off again and said no!! left it for a few mins, then put it on again,if he did it again i would do the same,it didn,t take long and is good as gold now, that was just my experience, but every little helps ;)

I didn't put Silas's lead on him at all until is first walk outside after his vaccs. He was so excited to be on the ground and able to sniff and walk around properly that he paid no attention to his lead at all.

Hope this may help
lots of woofs n' licks,
