It Makes Me So Mad.....

I was too mad to post this yesterday, but I have calmed down enuogh to share it today!

Yesterday afternoon we took Molo to a local Steam Show...with steam trains, traction engines, traditional fairground rides and the usual trade stands and arena.

Molo had a good play in a corner of the field that was being used as a car park, and then I carried him round most of the show, as I didn't want to tire him too much but wanted him to experience it.

We arrived at 2pm, and by 4pm, all of us, including Molo had enough - especially of being stopped every two seconds for someone to pet the pooch  .  Molo had managed to sleep in a quiet corner for 20 minutes while my daughter played on the kids play area  

As we were walking back to the car, we were stopped by some local VIP visitors who wanted to say hello to the puppy. As we were chatting it transpired that one lady used to own golden cockers. She assumed Molo had not been fully vaccinated as I was carrying him, and when I said it was so that he didn't get to tired, she said in a really judgemental tone:
"Well, it is a really long day for him, isn't it?"

I felt about 2 inches tall, and tried to explain that we hadn't been there for more than a couple of hours, but she had switched off and was fussing Molo again.

I was really upset that she thought I would expose a young puppy to a whole day like that - when she had no idea how long we had been there  

Anyway, I had to get that off my chest - and Molo was a star, he was not bothered by any of the smell, noise or bustle - and positively loved all the fuss and atttention that he got!

Some people just enjoy making others feel inferior or stupid.  Forget about her and be proud of yourself for treating your puppy in a responsible and loving way.

And what a good boy he was putting up with all the fussing and noise .

there will always be someone who thinks they no better mate,take no notice,you know you are a great mommy to molo,and so does he puppies do go out for day,s out with their families,and it,s better than leaving him alone at home.it gets me mad when people who don,t know you,make all sorts of judgemental opinions,

I sympathise as I was often carrying Wilf on trips out when he was little. But then Wilf has always been laid back and can sleep anywhere especially if not a lot is going on (he's like me he likes to conserve his energy for when it gets a bit more interesting). When he had that weird malignant histiocytoma this person I know  said kept saying he was always falling asleep because he was ill (as if I was some bad owner who hadn't twigged the same as her—this bit really irked). It annoyed me as she thought she knew everything about Wilf more than I did. On our last trip to the vet school when the vet left the room to see about something and Wilf promptly curled up on the treatment table and fell asleep—so I asked the vet who thought it was so sweet he'd done that and she said no its not becuase he's been ill its because he's such a laid back little boy (and as they'd had him in the vet school for a week then they got to know him quite well).


So what if they have to be carried in your arms when they get tired (no one would say that to you if you had a baby sleeping in a pram!)

You know you are doing the best thing for Molo, the socialising is so important....so just ignore these comments, some people feel they have to know all the right answers.
I'm glad little Molo enjoyed his trip.

if poeple cant think of anything nice to say they should keep their mouths shut and say nothing ....... but they don't ive had a few sarcastic coments especially when we were waiting to get honey ie lots of dogs at the rspca need a home more than a pedigree are you to posh to have a ''ordinary dog '' what goes on in their minds !!! even had an old lady say to me are you sure you want to play my dogs only a heinz variety for gods sake , i think some people just have a mean streak ........

i know what you mean ruth i,ve had loads of it but at the end of the day i always say,you couldn,t possibly offend me,as your opinion means absolutely nothing at all to me,that soon shuts them up
