Ooooh now I am all confused again, its little wonder that prospective owners know what to look for when its all soooo conflicting
You are going to get different opinions as not even professionals all think the same - Jeff Sampson is the KC Genetics Advisor but he's not an opthalmologist and I would guess if the same questions were asked of one of the KC/BVA eye panellists, somewhat different answers might be given. The KC do have to be more consistent though - they can't give out informal advice that eye testing every 2 years is ok if they don't apply this to their own flagship Accredited Breeder Scheme which states
"Eye testing – should be done under the KC/BVA/ISDS Eye Scheme or the KC/AHT Scheme or the ECVO Scheme. (Eye examinations should be repeated annually and should be within 18 months of the date of registration of a litter)."
