So glad she is on the mend. But in your post you say you gave her onion gravy.... I thought onions were a no no for dogs and could cause digestive problems

Just to add that it can also be fatal sometimes so please don't underestimate the power of pancreatitis.  We almost lost our wee dog Kim to it many years ago.  There is a simple blood test that can tell you if it is/isn't pancreatitis x

Absolutely agree. Nearly lost my old boy Dickon to it. It recurred several times so he was on a special diet and I had to watch what he ate like a hawk. Stress also played a huge factor. Once I learned the early signs and managed to train friends and family not to give him ANY treats he did really well though.

the vet did mention pancreatitis but she never did a blood test so i'm just wondering if it was actually that, if it was from all your comments it sounds like i may need to change her diet and treats, what do you think?

Or should i ask for a blood test to confirm it is pancreatitis cos if not it may have just been a bug or something, she didn;'t seem in pain so i'm a little confused now.

what do you guys think?

I suppose you could always phone the vets and ask again just exactly what she thought it was.  If it is for your own peace of mind then you could ask for the test.

That's what I would do.
(Sometimes I do think vets could
back up what they say with some
printed info for you take away and
read in your own time as when you
are in a consultation often you can
be worried or agitated and don't take
in what is said.)
