Thanks for your input. I suppose I've just been incredibly unlucky with my 2 goldens (for different reasons). I was thinking along the lines of a bitch may not be as obsessed and guarding (with me) but I understand that both sexes come with different challenges. What I am sure of, is wanting a complete change of colour next time but there isn't any rush, for now. Lesley
