My mum has a border collie, Sophie, lovely natured but pulls like nothing on earth and nothing has stopped her. My mum is 65 with osteoporosis and I've always really worried about Sophie just pulling her over (she does that collie thing with cars, tries to herd them so they walk down this long, country lane with Sophie dragging my mum, then she'll spot a car, run behind my mum, lie down, wait for it to approach then run in front of her. It's a nightmare
Well I bought her a sporn harness last weekend when I was up visiting her in Carlisle. She is so impressed, said Sophie is 90% better and yesterday morning with no traffic, they walked 20mins up and down the lane with Sophie trotting happily at her side the whole way. She's had 7 years of being dragged around so I'm really, really pleased it's working (and that's a dog who REALLY pulls hard...).
I may get one for Bella for Paws in the Park as she's a nightmare at events like that, always leaning out as far as possible on the lead.
