millie , on ocassions will rub her ears on the grass. her ears are cleaned regularly .she seems to be very interested in particular area of the garden(grassy area) and seems to be trying to lap at the grass before rubbing her ears in the same spot ::)

My Ollie rolls in the grass sometimes, in the same spot. Is it just her ears? Is this for prolonged periods of time?

She might be rubbing her ears in bird droppings or some such delicacy. They like oriible stinks on them. Mine like to rub their faces in such stuff. :lol2:

Ollie rubs his too - but on the carpet and generally when they are wet!! I think he doesn't like having wet ears! but not sure if there is a better explanation for it!!

Are you sure it's her ears she is rubbing? They usually love to rub their neck or shoulder in rotting poo, foetid carcasses etc.

Have you looked closely at the patch of grass she chooses? You can't always see what it is though.

Definatly agreed. We used to think our boy was in some sort of discomfort but quickly discovered it was just the allure of fox poo that did it  :lol2: nevertheless, its hard to get 'em to stop!

JJ does it but only when the grass is frosty, spends ages rubbing his face and rolling round.
