Title: frozen blocks of natures menu mince.
Post by: Jane57 on March 27, 2015, 11:27:15 AM
I give these sometimes to Riley,  I normally use it in 2 days once defrosted. If you use, how long do you let it stay in fridge once defrosted?  I know free flow is easier but don't always have space for 24 bags.

2 days will be fine. I use 1kg tubs of Natural Instinct sometimes and they're OK in the fridge for 3 or 4 days after thawing.

Thanks Elaine.  It might be 3 days when my parents have him when we are on holiday.

I'm not sure about the brand you are using but I have read and I do this too, re freeze raw meat. Dogs stomachs can take this I read and so far so good with Maisy and I've been doing that now for a couple of months. So I will give her the same for tea for a couple of days then re freeze what I have left for another day. It helps her anal glands!

If I can do it with bad wrists using a big sharp knife it's easy enough  :).

The other stuff needs a saw

I,ll try it, or get Adrian to, suppose could leave it out for an hour then cut it then put it back even.

5 to 10 mins will do, you'll still need a knife but it'll be dead easy :)
