Puppy shampoo
« on: April 11, 2015, 10:08:03 PM »
I'm looking for recommendations for a nice shampoo for my puppy's first proper wash and brush up. He is a 17 week old Black and Tan and gorgeous but starting to get a bit pongy. Thanks.

I used Canac Puppy Shampoo with Aloe Vera, and he looked good & smelled better after his bath.

I bought it from Vet UK link below, but pretty sure it will be available elsewhere too

Here he is after his bath - not sure who got the wettest  :005:

can not remember the brand we used but it would have been a sensitive skin one. but because I would believe it would be mild.
you say he is pongy. unless he has rolled in fox poo he ain't pongy just fragrant  :005:
welcome aboard  :003:

We used Groomers, I still have half the bottle even though Bea is nearly 3.

Another vote for Groomer's, We used it with both our boys when they were little, it smells lovely and is available at Pets@Home.

We used Groomers puppy shampoo on both of ours and continue to use Groomers Evening Primrose Oil shampoo now they're both grown up (ish)  ;)

I initially used Pet Head's 'Life's An Itch' shampoo which smells really nice but then switched to Groomer's Evening Primrose Oil as recommended by many here and I love it.

Hi.  We have only bathed Arvy once ourselves and he's a year old. He gets muddy but I just wipe him over with a damp groomers absorbent towel to clean him. They are magic. I wiped off Arvy and then leant it my friend to wipe off her lurcher, Tilly, who had lay down in a muddy puddle. She was amazed how clean Tilly was and that she actually enjoyed her wipe down. when it comes to shampoo our groomer recommends baby shampoo and conditioner.
