Harmy's in Hospital
« on: October 13, 2006, 10:36:47 AM »
I've been away at uni this week and came home last nite to find my little fella not at all himself. He's been having tummy trouble, but I had got him sorted last week on our holiday in North Wales with vets sensitive food. But while I've been away he has gone downhill again so I've taken him to the vets this morning and he's rushed him in for tests and is quite concerned because he is so pale.

I dont know how peeps cope with their children being poorly....I cant cope with this very well!!! :'(
The vet should be ringing me at lunch time :-\

Zen Dog...he knows not where he is going, for the ocean will decide. Its not the destination....its the glory of the ride.

Oh my little man has acute kidney failure :'(

They have no idea why and can only assume it may be a genetic problem. The vets have let me sit with him for a while and it has calmed him a bit...so they are brilliant and doin everything possible. Hopefully his kidneys will kick start up again and I'll get my baby back...but if not...its too painful to think about. He's only 2 years old. :luv:

how do you cope with this :'( my legs gave way when the vet told me. Has anyone else had this problem and the dog survive?

I'm so sorry.

I have no advice or encouragement to offer, just want to let you know that we are thinking of you and hoping that Harmy gets well soon.

Hi,

I have no advice but just to say that my thoughts are with you and Harmy.  (I'm at the vets this afternoon with one of mine who's off-colour, it's a horrible feeling  :'(  )

Harmy, get well soon. xx

So sorryt o hear about Harmy :-\ I have no personal experience of renal failure but there was a dog at work who was diagnosed with it at a very young age and he went on for years. I'll keep everything crossed for a positive outcome
