I hope Barney is feeling better soon....

I can't really give any advice as I've never had a dog who's had an operation so I'll just send loads of get well wishes  :luv: :luv: :luv:

I'm sure you're doing a great job of looking after him

How is Barney today Sam? I hope he was a bit better last night and you managed a bit of shut eye. Agree that anasthetics can do strange things to some dogs. Fern was right as rain the following day but another of our dogs was disorientated for a good two or three. He's probably picking up on your concern a bit too  :-\  particularly as you've had all that stress with Sapphi (not to mention OH :005:) . Cockers are sensitive little beasties.

I'm sorry I have no advice to offer but I hope you both managed to get some sleep last night & that Barney is better this morning.  It sounds like you've had a rough few weeks.  :'(

It's no consilation I know, but when Max was castrated he was restless for the 1st couple of days & I spent the 1st night downstairs on the settee with him as he wouldn't settle & kept crying, the anesthetic must affect them all differently, although I must admit after he'd been to the toilet he was sooo much better.

Hope all goes well at the vets & both Barney & Sapphi recover quickly.

Hi Sam

I didnt see this yesterday - I hope both you and Barney got a good night's sleep last night and that you are both feeling better today. It must be awfully distressing seeing your little man be in so much pain.

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday,Sam.

I do hope Barney feels a little brighter today; it's so upsetting when they're in distress & there's nothing you can do about it.

Poor you - you have had a rotten time of it with both him & Sapphi. :-*

I am sorry too, I didn't see this yesterday. I did see it at about 3am when I was up having a middle of the night prowl, but although I was thinking of you, I didn't post!

How is he today? I do hope that he is starting to feel a bit more comfortable.

(((HUGS))) to you all.

Just saw this (again!)... Poor Barney, I really hope he's settled and feeling a bit better today Sam. Some people can react quite badly to anaesthetics and I guess dogs are the same.

What a few weeks you've had! Blimmin' heck girl, you have a relaxing weekend and try to pamper yourself a bit!  :luv:
