He is 2 years old...........it was his birthday on April 7th

They can do marvelous things now  :D

Apparently when Mum went running over to him after it happened........she was literally seconds behind him.........he looked up at her and knew who she was. 
He was trying to look out the car window on the way down to the vets  :005:  He has a very strong character and is a tough little thing so hopefully that will help him too.
The nurses this morning said that he was very bright and alert.  All good signs we hope  :-\

I have just rung the vets again.

The vets are just coming out now so they are gonna ring me back when they have cleaned themselves up.

danny - just read the thread - everything crossed here that charlie is ok and vets are telling you that as i type.

he is a strong and healthy little boy so has everything going for him.

Have spoken to the vet............news is not brilliant  :'(  :'(

He said his injuries are horrific  :'(  

He has attempted to save both legs because he would rather Charlie had two legs that half worked than only one that half worked  :'(  One leg was smashed to pieces (his words) and the other was broken at the joint  :'(

He has damaged the ligaments.  His right leg is pinned and plated with a cage round it.   He has lost 21/2 toes on one foot and 3 on the other where he was dragged on the road  :'(  :'(  They have managed to close the wounds on one leg but there is not enough skin left on the other leg to close it up.

He is gonna be at the vets at least over the weekend and the vet has said not to go up there tonight cos Charlie needs to rest.....hopefully gonna be able to see him tomorrow.

The vet is gonna watch him closely for the next hour to see how he comes round after the op.  He did say that he is a very fit dog which gives him a fighting chance ..........heres hoping  :'(   :'(   :'(

Might just sit and cry now  :'(   :'(  :'(
