Yes, please see a vet asap. We had a cat in recently who nearly died after swallowing coins that became stuck in her bowel and had been in there for a few days. The vet will x-ray him to see where it is and will tell you if they think it will pass naturally or not.

Good luck. :luv:

Your talking to the owner of a dog piggie bank  :005: Otter ate 2 pound coins, I was so worried as he had just had surgery to remove stones he had ate . I called the vet and they sai they would pass ok, they did the very next day  :shades: Id keep checking his poop till they appear also I would call the vet for advice  ;)

Now I come to think of it, at Dogs Trust we had a dog just in who passed 2 £1 coins - we were all lining up to be his carer! :005:

It's still always best to get them checked out though, the coin could easily lodge somewhere and cause complications.

We had a Golden Retriever who ate a 50 pence piece.  We spent ages following him around, waiting for him to pass it, but it never appeared and he was fine.

We've always wondered what happened to it. :lol2:

Maybe if he'd gone for a colonic years later they would have found it! :lol2:

'I'd just wait a while and see if there is any change'

Lol :005: thats almost as bad as my dad who said...at least he's worth a bit more now!!!

Anyway i am happy to report that last night, whilst walking through the fields the 20 pence piece made a very smelly and unpleasant appearance!! My OH was v amused to hear my cries of delight over tyler's poo!! Much relief though, as i had visions of surgery etc....which with his money collecting ways, i'd have expected tyler to pay for!! >:D
