Been to see my wee man and it is such a relief to know what was wrong with him, he appears to have managed to eat a bit of a plastic bag and the other part of it was possibly an old part of a ball (not one that we have ever used but could have come from the little sod
next door and the never ending supply of footballs he loans to us-generally at great speed over the fence
)
They are keeping him on the drip overnight again but he was looking brighter in himself and with any luck we can bring him home tomorrow for lots of TLC. It is such a relief to know that it was something he had eaten (quite a while back according to the vet) of the non-organic variety and def not anything to do with his pancreatitis or his love of dead things on the beach.
He has all the Nurses totally under the paw and every time I ring for an update I get told he is a really happy wee boy/cutie etc etc , even when I was there today everytime a nurse came in he was looking past me for some more attention from them- my boy is such a tart!!!
On a more serious note though does anyone know how long it will take for his scar to heal and for his hair to grow back (they have even shaved his dangly bits-that has got to be cold!!!
) and as his neck was so sore last time they shaved it for the anisthetic wold I be better trying to put a t-shirt on him to stop him bothering the wound rather than a 'lampshade'?
I just want to get him home now and start feeding him up again as he is a real bag of bones at the best of time and looks positively waif-ish now. He has lost 3kg in a week but if def not a diet I would recommend.
Thank you all for all the support, fred will be getting squidged as soon as possible
