So sorry to hear that it wasn't better news. :(

Sending all the positive thoughts in the world that the neurologist can get to the root of the problem and it can be easily rectified.

Hello all,

I am feeling decidedly cheerier today. Rufus is still sluggish with his rear legs, and it is very clear that it is something neurological that we need to resolve, but he is to all intents and purposes a very happy, healthy puppy. He is eating well, putting on weight (judging by his paws he is going to be a stocky boy!), and he even met another couple of puppies last night and we proudly watched as he played nicely and enthusiastically.

It's interesting that we have now noticed he is a bit slow generally and we now wonder if it is all related., implying that it is something to do with his nervous system. Hopeful though that at no point will it stop him from leading a very long and comfortable life.

Once we have seen a specialist I will post an update, but for now I wanted to post something positive as he really is a little star!

So sorry to read about the worrying time you are having with little Rufus.

Just wonder how his toilet training is going? I wonder if he has normal sensation there?

Will be thinking of you as you wait.

Oh bless, poor Rufus  :-\, glad to hear your update though.  It's great that you are so positive.

This is something that needs to be brought to the attention of the breeder, apologies if you have already done so  ;)

Fingers crossed for a positive outcome with the tests x

Poor little Rufus. However, he doesn't care if he is a bit wobbly; that's the great thing about being a puppy not a person  As long as he is healthy and has good quality of life there's no reason he shouldn't have a long and happy one. Here's a video of a couple of "CH" cats (neurological disease caused by worm infestation in mother) -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjl5eHlaPb8&feature=related If you do a search on "wobbly kittens" there are lots on Youtube. The cats are very healthy and happy, they just happen to be wobbly!
