hit in the eye
« on: September 21, 2012, 06:56:48 PM »
just been out for a walk and threw the dog's toy - a plastic thing on a rope (if that makes sense?). On the last throw (because we immediately stopped, obviously!), she yelped and its obviously caught her in the eye.

There's nothing sharp on it but its reasonably heavy - its rubber on the non-rope half of it,  but she's half closed the eye and looks a bit sorry for herself.

What should I do? the vets is obviously closed - will it just puff up (I'll take her in tomorrow for a check up). Is it ok to leave overnight like a human black-eye?

Oh poor little thing.

Think I am going to have to confiscate her.... :005: :005:

Seriously....hope she's ok soon.  They bounce back from these things.
No longer in my arms, but forever in my heart, my girls at the Bridge, Lily and Freya. Xx

Try not to worry, it's probably a little bruised.  Hope she feels better in the morning, these accidents happen.

Ok I feel less worried. We shone a torch at each eye and the pupil is responsive so hopefully just a bruise.
