Is this NORMAL ??
« on: April 05, 2004, 07:50:10 AM »
Hello

I wonder if you can give me some advise ?

My pup is now 9mths old has been spayed  at 6mths old , the problem is since then (and seems to be getting worse) she mounts my arm   ( and seems a little bit agressive), everytime i go to pick some thing up , is this normal behavior ?? At first i put it down to her hormones settling down but i'm now not sure this is the case .

Thanks

Jazz is 4 months old, and likes nothing better than humping my arm. If i ignore her, then she seems a little on the agressive side, but i say no sharply and get up and walk away from her.

I am amazed that 'bitches' do this, I thought it was a dog thing. I do thinks its to do with hormones, and shes still very young, so i would expect it whilst shes still youngish.

She doesn't hump people or anything else just poor ickle saffi...who has no choice but to endure it. :?
it does seem to have got worse since she was spayed! Im hoping she will grow out of it...soon!

Humping can also be a dominance thing especially when a dog humps another dog and that dog isn't in season (Ruby and her best mate Maddie do it to each other all the time and they're two bitches!)

Ruby still tries to hump Wilf or my trousers as I attempt to put them on and she's almost 2!
