Hi everyone,
For some time now Harvey has been getting little red spots around his mouth, always on his top lip...they turn brown & then disapear,i've not been too worried about them before as they do go but after the trauma of Honey i'm now starting to panic......has anybody else come across these??
luv

My cat had something similar & the vet said that even though we fleed her regularly she could still get bitten.....could this be the case?....he gets them quite often though :?

Hi Juel
Could be acne? I have had this with a couple of mine. It is always seen around the mouth. It starts as red spots and they can get quite saw and inflamed before the shrink and disappear. I use diluted Hibiscrub which is an antibacterial wash which you can get from a chemist. Dilute it and wipe the area with cotton wool dipped in the solution.

It may be worth a trip to the vet for a diagnosis, if it is acne then the hibiscrub may help. A course of antibiotics may help in extreme cases.

Hope this helps, Tracey :D
