Loose Motions
« on: August 21, 2005, 08:40:36 AM »
Hi everyone

Finley has had quite loose motions for the last few weeks, and especially today  :( and I am not sure why.  The only changes to his diet has been a change from Nutro puppy Lamb & Rice food to Nutro adult Lamb & Rice.  Has anyone else experienced this when they have change to adult food, I have looked at the ingredients of both and they do not vary much.  What is the best thing to do starve him for 24 hours and start again and see what happens?

Wendy

Hi Wendy,
I'm not sure about the food because I have never used this type. I would usually say fast but as it has been going on for a few weeks I would be more inclined to suggest could the food be made too sloppy for him or is there too much.

If you don't use raw chicken wings then give him one or 2 or these after his meal (you'll have to reduce the amount of meal you give him slightly) Bones are great for firming things up.
